Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday that he doesnt think that Donald Trump will capture the 2016 GOP presidential nomination and predicted that it is only a matter of time before most of the New York billionaires supporters will move into his camp. During an appearance on WABC-AM Radio, host Rita Cosby asked Mr. Cruz whether he would eventually move past Mr. Trump based on his conservative principles, and the Texas Republcian said I think thats right. In time, I dont believe Donald is going to be the nominee, and I think in time the lions share of his supporters end up with us, Mr. Cruz said. Mr. Trump has tangled with most of the candidates running for the Republican presidential nomination and has touted how some of his rivals have sunk in the polls after attacking him. But he has not traded barbs with Mr. Cruz, who has been Mr. Trumps biggest ally in the crowded GOP field. In the WABC-AM interview, Mr. Cruz continued to praise Mr. Trump, saying he liked and respected Donald. Mr. Cruz said Mr. Trump has boosted his candidacy and his chance of becoming the partys standard-bearer. I think his involvement has been tremendously helpful to my campaign because it has framed the central question of the primary as: Who will stand up to Washington? Mr. Cruz said. And if thats the central question, the natural next question, that any voter will ask is okay, well who actually has stood up to Washington? Who has a record in that regard? The Cruz campaign also announced Thursday that he will report raising $12.2 million over the last three months exceeding the hauls of fellow Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, who plans to report $6 million, and Rand Paul of Kentucky, who raised $2.5 million.

As they keep saying about Donald, nobody’s perfect.
What I really like seeing the most is the ability to even remotely approach the “We The People” philosophy. That does happen to be what is written on the Constitution. And seeing that gratuitously diluted is just wrong.
As much as I liked your very good post.....and I certainly did....it seems very evident that Cruz is making his move.....against Trump.
“I’ll be here as long as the people want me here.” That’s what I’d probably say if I were Trump....
If you want to believe Trump has no ground game, you will hate this article: Secret sign-ups and TV foot soldiers: Donald Trump's campaign is for real
I understand that. I’m honestly not sure what Cruz was thinking. A guy pulling in six times his numbers isn’t going to all of a sudden lose his support because Mr. 3.9 percenter made a silly comment like this.
Go ahead underestimate Cruz...he can his own against the left and the RiNo’s even without Trump, who IMO will drop out after Jeb. Cruzust raised 12 million since Sept...like no sweat, Cruz’ game is strong like Donkey Kong.
Can only agree w/you. Heard Mr. T mention that today as well. It was thought that it was only propaganda against Cruz when the blurb first began..now biting my nails as to what has happened (if anything) or what will happen (if anything) Something seems amiss somewhere. Sen. Ted is important for legislative Mr. T just as important as he knows ‘the right folks’ to get the job done. Perhaps more got ya moments to once again show the corruption in the media? We’ll need to wait it out, biting our nails or ‘wherever’
God may judge this nation with Hillary, His decrees remain a mystery. What God has revealed is that He wants His people to discern good and evil according to His law and that when the righteous rule it is a blessing, but when the unrighteous rule it is grievous. We are not called to vote for the winner, but for the man that best represents God's justice. It is not like betting on a horse race, there is no prize for picking the first place horse. The prize is picking the man of law and working to see him him win and praying that God will not bring judgement because His people went with expediency instead of righteousness.
I will be here to champion unity between the two.
If Cruz means what he says, and Trump means what he says, then “Making America Great Again” is their goal.
These two men have nothing to gain by going after each other. These men can only gain against each other, at the nation’s expense.
So whatever Ted does and Trump does, I’ll be here trying to move them back toward the goal.
We add nothing to the equation by referencing it in negative terms.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
This has to be every citizens goal this campaign season and general election.
This isn’t meant as a dig at you at all.
I don’t take it as a dig....not at all.
I’m just more aware that, imo, Cruz is not the one for Trump’s VP
May I remind you that Eric Cnator outspent his opponent 10-1 and lost. Jeb Bush has hundreds of millions of dollars and is slipping in the polls. I don’t know why people think that a candidate can necessarily win just by raking in big bucks.
I see another philosophical problem here, one of relying on princes.
One can get the purest prince, but if one treats that prince as set and forget, one might as well have relied on the prince.
I don’t have cancer that I know of but I am cardio screwed...I won’t bore u
But I never ever quit
God will put a quit on me....it won’t be me
God is judging this nation with barack obama. However, I Chronicles 7:14 comes to mind.
Thousands of Individual donations > K street whore cash
I suspect this is a hit piece on Cruz.
He can't possibly be that stupid. But the clueless progressive morons, planting crap like this? Definitely!
You are likely correct
This in turn will happen — if it does — by virtue of the people coming back into touch with God’s own greatness.
Cruz is very devout, there is no question about it. But unless people are going to vote for Pastor General of the USA, that may mean less than someone who inspires greater America, which still is hoping in God, to become engaged with the process again. And that someone might be Trump.
I still champion him as that because of this Supreme Court and Congressional experience. To me he is a great resource for Trump.
I also think that Trump can teach him some economic factors that will make Cruz a great follow-on president.
Cruz is not a bad guy. He has a hectic life right now, and this seemed to make sense to him. It may not in the next few days.
If the press can say they think Trump will get out in time (for literally months), and it not hurt Trump at all, it won’t when Ted does it.
I think Ted will look silly for having done it, because it’a already a massive laughing stock when another media player says Trump will soon be out.
How could Ted have missed that?
In a very real sense, feverishly sinning people judge themselves. They refuse God in their lives and so God grants the devil permission to dominate their lives instead.
