China uses intimidation tactics at U.N. to silence critics

GENEVA – In a cafe lounge at the United Nations complex in Geneva, a Tibetan fugitive was waiting his turn earlier this year to tell diplomats his story of being imprisoned and tortured back home in China.

The 43-year-old Buddhist monk, Golog Jigme, had broken out of a Chinese detention center in 2012, eventually fleeing to Switzerland. But his Chinese government pursuers had not given up.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, said he was “extremely concerned by the increasing number of cases of harassment or reprisals against those cooperating with the Human Rights Council.”

Please tell Buddhist monk, Golog Jigme, who had broken out of a Chinese detention center in 2012, not to worry since the U.N. High Commissioner Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein is "extremely concerned." That should stop China right in its tracks! /s

The US government used to talk about human rights violations in China. Now they are trying to figure out how to imitate China with all those politically incorrect Americans on Homeland inSecurity’s domestic terrorist list.
