ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – An experienced archaeologist who has spent a decade searching for the ancient ruins of Sodom is now confident that his team has located the ill-fated biblical city and evidence of its sudden destruction. Dr. Steven Collins is a distinguished professor of Archaeology at Trinity Southwest University in Albuquerque and is also dean of the school’s College of Archaeology & Biblical History. In addition to writing dozens of scholarly books and journal articles, Collins frequently visits the Middle East, where he participates in ongoing archaeological research.
Since 2005, Collins has led excavations in the southern Jordan Valley in an attempt to find Sodom—the ancient city that was destroyed by God because of its sinful inhabitants, according to Genesis 19. Collins says he began his research by “analyzing the Biblical text regarding the location of Sodom.” His investigation led him to conclude that one site in particular fit well within the biblical criteria. The site is named Tall el-Hammam, and it located in the southern Jordan River Valley, nine miles northeast of the Dead Sea.
“Tall el-Hammam seemed to match every Sodom criterion demanded by the text,” he said, according to a 2013 report in “Popular Archaeology.” “Theorizing, on the basis of the Sodom texts, that Sodom was the largest of the Kikkar (the Jordan ‘Disk,’ or ‘well-watered plain’ in the biblical text) cities east of the Jordan, I concluded that if one wanted to find Sodom, then one should look for the largest city on the eastern Kikkar that existed during the Middle Bronze Age, the time of Abraham and Lot..."

I’ve read where some think the evidence points to a comet hitting (above link), or another where a meteor grazed the top of the alps. Such an event would cover a large zone of effect (not just a city), and could/would account for similar findings in nearby areas.
The above link mentions the Bible verses, and says Lot saw destruction of “all the land of the plain”.

The remains of the five cities have been visible from the air since flying was invented. The outlines of the buildings show up well.
Strong words. Do you even know Dr. Collins? Does your archaeological pedigree surpass him?
It's a little more complicated, though, if it's a natural parent who's gay. Or a single gay relative (family kin) adoption. Novelist Walker Percy and his two brothers were all three adopted when they were half-grown boys, by their cousin William Alexander Percy ("Uncle Will") and he apparently did a very good job raising them. Though he was homosexual, he was not, however "openly gay." He was simply a bachelor, didn't have any homosexual vice going on inside the household.
The most dangerous threat a child can face, statistically, is "mom's live-in boyfriend."

I knopw that he pretended to be searching for something that was well known.
Christians are often an easy mark for these scams. Its unfortunate that people don’t read more. They could avoid getting ripped off.
The cities of the dead sea area have been well known since the mid ‘90s, and you can book an aerial tour to see them.
The above talks about sulfur being released from planetary strikes. Both in the form of sulfur from the object, and the object hitting rocks that have sulfur.
I'd be interested in seeing some of the photos you mentioned from the air. I did a quick search and didn't see anything. The movie you linked to previously, the structures might look like buildings, but pretty sure they are just natural rock formations.
And while God can use any mechanism He wishes for a miracle to happen - I think He often uses “natural” phenomena which He can control if He so desires.

They had been called out of the city by the angels, and she disobeyed. A sulfur rain storm will cook you well.
Stories about radiation are nonsense.
Don’t know why this archaeologist had to go to the middle east to find Sodom. All he had to do was look between Virginia and Maryland to find it.

Learn some basic Physics and chemistry.
There is no way sulfur could reach the surface of the Earth from above. It would be heated well above the ignition temperature far above the breathable atmosphere. All that would remain is hot sulfur dioxide (a gas).
Why search for the charred remains of a homo city that existed thousands of years ago when you can see for-real live Sodom cities in America; San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, etc?

There is no rock in the ruins it is all ash.
I was reading Henry Alford’s commentary on Jude, where it mentions the judgment on Sodom. Alford speculated that there must have been something far worse going on there than just homosexuality because homosexuality was common through out the “civilized” world. Either he or someone said they were co-habiting with something different, the “strange” flesh mentioned in Jude.

She turned away and got out of the protection of the angel. Sounds extremely linear in it's destructive ability. A volcano would rain down in a perpendicular fashion. This isn't the Lost Raiders movie, just looking at something does not cause anyone to be ionized, unless it is emitting some form of radiation.
