Old Yeller. Toughest movie for me to watch. I love labs.
Although I'm sure every duck, squirrel, and chipmunk cheers at the ending.

Disney made an absolute gem of a movie in the late 50s.
“Darby O’Gill and the Little People”. It gets good ratings but one hardly ever hears anything about it. It even had Sean Connery singing and he was pretty good too.

In retrospect, when I look back on when I first saw Old Yeller, it had the profound effect on me that the friendships of dogs and other animals are to be cherished.........
I know, that sounds corny........

Here is Bill Murray talking about Old Yeller in the movie Stripes.
C'mon, who cried when they shot Old Yeller?

“I do so miss the original Disney Channel of the 1980s. I have to believe the shows as aired then would be moneymakers.”
Disney is sitting on a gold mine. They can create a Disney Boomer Channel and show all the old programs that us boomers would enjoy. Imagine being able to watch the Wonderful World of Color, Elfego Baca, The Scarecrow of Romeny Marsh ad a host of other programs.

Yeah, I watched it once...never again.I couldn't even handle the Lassie TV show without bawling . Once I heard what happened to Old Yeller at the end, I never watched it. I still have no desire to see it.

All those old Disney shows were great. Way better than the crap that is on now. As I said, Disney is sitting on a gold mine and they don’t even know it.
