Iraq militia boss says US not serious about fighting IS(key MP in Badr/Tehran-backed Shiite party)

Najaf (Iraq) (AFP) - A top leader of Iraq's Popular Mobilisation paramilitary organisation said Monday that Baghdad had turned to Russia because the US-led coalition was not serious about fighting the Islamic State group.

A spokesman for the US-led coalition retorted that it had spent $2.3 billion to train and equip Iraqi forces over the past year.

"To this day, we have not seen a really serious effort to fight Daesh," Hadi al-Ameri said in the holy city of Najaf, using an Arab acronym for the jihadist organisation.

"There are some who try to contain Daesh but not really eliminate them and prevent those fighters from returning to Europe, which is where they came from," he said.

Ameri is a key MP in the Badr movement, a Tehran-backed Shiite party which also has a powerful military wing. He was speaking at a conference organised by Badr's Al-Ghadeer television channel.

"This lack of seriousness of the international coalition made us change tack. Russia is moving in a very serious way against Daesh," he said.

Russian warplanes began air strikes in Syria last week.

Moscow says it has been targeting IS, but Washington and its allies say Russia does not distinguish between IS and other groups and accuses the Kremlin of being focused on protecting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his regime.

Elsewhere, it's Boogie Fever..

Headed to Europia..

Iraqi men and a member (C) of the Iraqi security forces take selfies as they prepare to leave at the international airport in Najaf, south of Baghdad, September 4, 2015. Some Iraqi soldiers are abandoning their posts and joining a wave of civilian migrants headed to Europe, raising new doubts about the cohesion of the country's Western-backed security forces in the fight against Islamic State militants. Even the muzzies have caught on to Obama’s play acting.

He doesn’t really want to wipe ISIS out, he just wants people to think that is his goal.

That is why he is so upset with Putin.

He is afraid Putin really will damage ISIS.

Thanks for posting the article.

"Moscow says it has been targeting IS,"

Which is being verified more each day.

" but Washington and its allies say Russia does not distinguish between IS and other groups"

Why should they ? It's a distinction without a difference.

" and accuses the Kremlin of being focused on protecting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his regime."

Duh. In chess, there is no next move if you lose your King.

Looks like a picture of battle scarred 13 year old Christian refugee girls escaping the horror of a brutal dictator.

Like our southwestern border as well. Obama isn’t serious about border security either.

About the only things he’s serious about are raising taxes, spending money on queers and illegals and stripping liberty from Americans.

Yeah, the Ruskies are moving on whomever it is that's making life hard for their boy Assad, no matter what group they are. They don't care.

"...prevent those fighters from returning to Europe, which is where they came from,"

If that is accurate, uh oh for Europe - there are troubles yet to come around there.

Hussein is surely not serious about fighting his own guys that he armed and paid. He doesn't even put on a good show. Now the Russians are doing the job and could leave a worse enemy, Iran, stronger than even Hussein meant to have it. Russia could actually be what avoids nuclear war. Russia is taking control of the area but does not want its ally disrupting the free flow of oil through Russian hands to the market. Russia is also investing in a venture that promises to siphon off most of that $150Billion that Hussein is hustling to Iran. That's peanuts to America that has many times that amount in debts but pretty significant to Putin. Putin does not need Iran to interfere with Israel as the prospective alliance between Israel and Russia would gain for Putin access to some of the best scientific and technological brains in the world. Putin will settle the ME some, maybe a lot, and in the meantime Hussein has denied America access to the ME and to the Eastern Mediterranean. Our ships are still there for now but will find themselves constrained more and more.

I have believed that Hussein, seen as a Moslem activist has had things all his own way just about everywhere and was setting up a nuclear exchange between Iran and Israel that he, as a Sunni, hoped would destroy two of the three great enemies of Islam. He is personally working on that third enemy, America.

I think Putin put the first spanner in the gears that Hussein has experienced.
