End of ISIS? Putin 'sending 150,000 soldiers to Syria to WIPE OUT evil Islamic State'

VLADIMIR Putin is preparing to send 150,000 troops to Syria in a bid to wipe out the evil Islamic State once and for all.

The Russian leader is reportedly mounting an enormous military mission to take control of the terror group's stronghold of Raqqa.

The city is the self-declared capital of ISIS in Syria and is patrolled by as many as 5,000 jihadi members.

Putin is set to mobilise 150,000 reservists who he conscripted into the military earlier this week.

An insider revealed: "It is very clear that Russia wants to sweep up the west of the country, taking Raqqa and all the oil and gas resources around Palmyra.

"This is fast becoming a race to Raqqa – to secure the oil fields they need to cleanse the region of insurgents, and the IS capital is vital to do that."

It comes a day after Russian jets obliterated nine ISIS outposts in just 24 hours using bunker-busting bombs.

Russian jets pounded terrorist targets and blew up a command centre, potentially killing dozens of fighters.

Confirming the successful raids, Andrei Kartapolov from the Russian army vowed to ramp up the pressure, saying: "We will not only continue strikes... We will also increase their intensity."

And Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said: "Over the past 24 hours, Sukhoi Su-34 and Su-24M fighter jets have performed 20 sorties and hit nine Islamic State installations.

Why doesn't he use fully trained and active duty troops?

> Why doesn’t he use fully trained and active duty troops?

Because no special skills are necessary when there are no ROE. The reservists will be ordered to shoot on sight any party bearing ISIS colors or brandishing a weapon without benefit of uniform. Both of these are allowable under the Geneva convention.

ISIS will be annihilated in short order.

Notice Putin doesn’t care what the world thinks, he just goes in and takes care of business.

This embarrassing display of impotence by the USA is why political correctness must be eradicated once and for all.

If not, we better get used to being just another France.

The Russians do not bluff.

They wait, but once they say they will do something... You can count on it happening.

Certainly something like this.

Many nations are set up differently from the USA with respect to military. They do not have the resources to maintain large standing armies like we do here. So once they give soldiers basic training, they are put on reserve status until they are needed. Most likely they are reporting for active duty several weeks a year so that their training is kept current.

The silly article implies that Putin is conscripting 150,000 citizens and sending them immediately to battle. That is not the case.

“Why doesn’t he use fully trained and active duty troops? “

Employment in Russia is bad. This represents 150,000 jobs. It takes people off the streets and puts them under state control. It trains people for the regular army. It does not affect Russia’s other military concerns or their ability to fully prosecute a war elsewhere. Other than the possibility of mass casualties this deployment has few downsides. Putin has plenty of political capital to spend at home.

"This is fast becoming a race to Raqqa – to secure the oil fields they need to cleanse the region of insurgents, and the IS capital is vital to do that."

And if the Raqqa oil fields get taken out in the process?

No problem, a restricted supply boosts the price, and The Rodina benefits from higher prices when it sells oil...

Hysterical blogger-type nonsense, based on fantasizing about Russia’s routine procedure for its normal military conscription.

Russians doing he job Americans (Obama) refuses to do. Obama is more likely to send in troops to fight alongside his Muslim brothers and against the Russians.

Kerry will resort to more passive, weasel verbiage, such as “deconflict” and try to make it seem like he has a clue.

If true where will Al Baghdadi run to? You know he’s no Travis, Bowie or Crockett. I wonder which Muslim state will give him sanctuary?

I guess Russians do a lot of the jobs lazy Americans (i.e., Obama) won’t do … just like the illegal immigrants.
