KABUL The acting governor of Afghanistans northern Kunduz province said Sunday that Taliban fighters had been routinely firing small and heavy weapons from the grounds of a local hospital before it was apparently hit by a U.S. airstrike over the weekend.
In an interview, Hamdullah Danishi said the Doctors Without Borders compound was a Taliban base that was being used to plot and carry out attacks across the provincial capital, Kunduz city.
The hospital campus was 100 percent used by the Taliban, Danishi said. The hospital has a vast garden, and the Taliban were there. We tolerated their firing for some time before responding.
arly Saturday, in an airstrike that outraged the United Nations and humanitarian groups across the world, at least 19 people were killed and 37 others critically wounded during sustained bombardment near the hospital.
On Sunday, Doctors Without Borders strongly refuted suggestions that any Taliban fighters were inside the hospital at the time of the attack.

Very curious. The story earlier was that it was a doctors without borders hospital. Why would they lie to cover for the Taliban? I don’t trust the Afghan official or the Washinton Post on this. Looks like they’re running cover.
Washington Post doing damage control for the administration. Again.
Doctors Without Borders is terrorist infrastructure.
Ah, but MSF, that evades the issue. Did they routinely use the facility as a base? If so, then the best advice we can give you is that if your location is militarized, you best get out of Dodge.
Spi, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin . . .
Taking a page from the Palestinian thugs, hiding behind schools and hospitals... ?
Reading carefully, DWB did get out, leaving behind local Afghan staffers, so DWB might not have known one way or the other, and that’s being generous.
Talk about disinformation. ..geeesh...no way to know what’s real.
So it appears the original stories were a bit off.
Really. I was completely unaware of that.
Exactly correct. This group, like many other European NGOs, permits the use of its facilities by anti-US and anti-Israel terrorists. They can be compared with UNRWA in this respect. They go to war zones, side with our enemy, allow weapons and fighters to use their sites, and then are astonished when anyone dares to strike them.
Then, why did Obama apologize?
RE: Then, why did Obama apologize?
Obama is Mr. Apologize First ( or condemn first when it comes to cops ).

OK, I’m not saying that what they’re doing is right, but let’s ask ourselves another question -— What if they REFUSED to allow their clinics to be as weapons storage? What will the enemy do then? Will they leave them be?
So who is lying, the Afgan official or the doctors who are leaving the hospital grounds? It has to be one or the other. I initially appeared the attack was accidental, now I am not so certain.
