Lt. Gov: ‘Fellow Christians’ Should Consider Handgun Permits

Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey said in a Facebook posting Friday that “fellow Christians” should consider getting a handgun carry permit after the mass shooting in Oregon.

Survivors told authorities the gunman demanded at least some of the victims state their religion before shooting them at a community college.

In his posting, Ramsey, also the Tennessee state Senate speaker, called recent U.S. mass shootings “truly troubling.”

“I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit,” Ramsey wrote. “I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. Our enemies are armed. We must do likewise.”

Islam is committed to killing as many kafirs, non-believers, as possible as part of their plan and that includes Jews as well as Christians. Just think of the Middle East when Christianity comprised all of those who believed in the Lord, churches were as common as mosques are today until Islam arrived. Most were killed and continue being killed. There's a small community of Coptic Christians living in Egypt and I've only recently read where several Christian soldiers in defiance of their superior officers who demanded they convert were killed after refusing to do so. Muslims have recently ventured into the Christian community, now heavily gated in the aftermath of Muslims grabbing, kidnapping hundreds of girls forced to convert.They won't be happy until they get rid of all Christians.

Let some Muslim determined to make claim on his 72 virgins meet up with some armed Christians and you'll see how fast these religious killings are going to stop.

The Lt. Governor of Tennessee was certainly referring to Americans in regards to those Christians killed in Oregon. I don’t see why the Lt. Governor would be addressing Christians of other countries regarding guns and don’t see your point unless you have some agenda going on.

If this lawmaker is really offended by armed citizens and it is an important issue for him/her, they should announce they are unarmed 24/7 and dismiss the armed guards in the state house and replace them with hall monitors. They should lead by example.

Funny how almost every mass shooting happens in a gun free zone. I’ve never heard of a mass shooting in a gun store. Strange.

There was a shooting last year in a gun store in Texas. One of the owners was killed and two or three of the bad guys also. From what I understand not much talking just whole lot of shooting. I don’t go into any gun free zones unless they are giving out free guns.
