Bobby Jindal tells Iowa governor how to defund Planned Parenthood

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is offering Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad advice on tactics for defunding Planned Parenthood.

According to reports from a conservative website in Iowa, Jindal sent Branstad a letter dated Sept. 23 and written on letterhead from Jindal's office. The letter was released after Branstad announced Tuesday (Sept. 29) that he wouldn't pursue canceling Medicaid funding for the family planning organization.

Presidential candidates usually focus on national issues rather than wade into debates over state and local issues where they are campaigning. But in this case, defunding Planned Parenthood has risen to the fore of the national political discussion...

Governor Bobby Jindal's state, Louisiana, is the top pro-life state in the nation for the sixth year in a row. Jindal is working to take down the murderous giant, Planned Parenthood, in the best way he knows how (read the rest of the article for more info); in other words he's DOING something about this hideous scourge on our nation. Christ has to see this, and it has to bring Him joy.

Which brings me to the photograph shown in this article taken during the Values Voter Summit. It looks like Bobby Jindal has an Illuminated Host [the Eucharist; the Blessed Sacrament] in his Right hand, and since he (and his wife) are both converts to Catholicism, it makes one smile. Could Christ have been integral in the capturing of this image?
