Per Bloomberg just now, the use of force in Syria has been approved.

“Obama rarely consults with anyone”

At least Putin is going through the motions of asking permission, unlike Obama, who just went ahead illegally in Libya.

To use the military abroad Putin needs a permission according to the Russian Constitution.

Hmm, I don't expect this from an U.S. President.

...and why not?

Russia is on a roll and they need to capture as much territory as possible until the Bumbler & Chief is FINALLY ousted.

Obama’s America is simply out to lunch and paying the meal ticket for the Russkies, Chinese, N. Koreans and Iranians.

“Hmm, I don’t expect this from an U.S. President. “

Any other presidency would have been torn apart by controversy generated by the media. Practically everything Obama has done would have ended a Republican presidency. His protectors are no so much the Secret Service, but the media. Obama is a Muslim communist. To become a reporter and work in the media requires a university education. To get that you must be a communist and thoroughly trained in political correctness. Obama is the Stalin that the media has been hoping for. Several media personalities have fantasized in print about Obama seizing total power and imprisoning his critics.

Because of the lack of media generated public outcry and the negative way the media would portray any attempt to stop Obama, Obama has had free reign to do whatever he pleases. And, in truth, there are no good mechanisms to stop Obama.

The saving grace is that Obama appears to be incompetent.
