Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad must leave office or face being turfed out by force, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said Tuesday, warning of stepped up support for Syrian rebel groups.
Jubeir rejected Russian calls for an international coalition to help Assad fight the Islamic State group, and said the Syrian leader's best option would be to step down.
"There is no future for Assad in Syria, with all due respect to the Russians or anyone else," Jubeir told reporters in New York after meetings with Saudi Arabia's allies.
"There are two options for a settlement in Syria. One option is a political process where there would be a transitional council," he said, describing this as the "preferred option."
"The other option is a military option, which also would end with the removal of Bashar al-Assad from power," Jubeir warned.
"This could be a more lengthy process and a more destructive process, but the choice is entirely that of Bashar al-Assad."

Daniel 7:7 After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 8 While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttering great boasts.
That coup against the Muslim Brotherhood did.
What would happen if it were an ISIS-Muslim Brotherhood combination, can you say bloodbath?
Because this isn’t about what’s in America’s interest. Our ‘leaders’ are corrupt and bought off on an individual level by the money that flows from the house of saud and they have been for more than 30 years.
yes I agree with you
but everyone Obama backs is always far worse than any of the available alternatives
Can anyone explain any of this?
Assad: You and what army?
We agree, Obama always backs the extremist option. The man is very dangerous and I believe actually evil.
Sheba and Dedan talking about Syria while Persia ramps up, et al
Ezekiel chapter 38, Gog-Magog war.
Saudi Arabia is in the area of Sheba and Dedan.
Read the above in your Bible. Eventually it will be that.
Next week? Probably not. But eventually.
Gog-Magog refers to modern Turkey not Russia though. Turkey is in the region, their leader is a bit of a lunatic, so I have no doubt that modern Turkey will fulfil it’s prophecy.
Should Russia attack SAUDI, the Us is obliged to come to the Kingdom’s aid.
No, Turkey is House of Togarmah.
Magog is mentioned in Genesis 10 as well as in Chronicles 1, Magog is mentioned alongside of his brothers Meshech, Tubal, and Gomer.
Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah, and Meshech in todays Turkey, not Russia.
Ezekiel 38:1-3 “And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal”
So Gog = Turkey, not Russia. “Gog, the land of Magog, the chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal,”
Meshech and Tubal are in modern day Turkey, not Russia.
We have to agree to disagree, I’ve studied ancient and modern maps regarding this topic as have others :)
Nope. Heard that “Turkey” theory before, though.
We’re gonna disagree here. :)
How is Saudi doing against the Houthies in Yemem? I never see any news about it except videos on Youtube posted by rebels showing what are claimed to be saudi vehicles shot up and burning.
Oh, there was a saudi general or col. killed recently?
Meshech lived in Asia Minor or todays Turkey, Meshech is from Magog the land of Gog, Magog is the country, Gog like the others mentioned is a person, obviously the leader of Magog.
[Gog like the others mentioned is a person, obviously the leader of Magog.]
Yes, you are correct there.
“The House Of Saud could fall fairly easily.”
They know it and it’s why they’ve purchased billions in real estate and other assets in first world nations.
