From what I heard, Obama requested the meeting.
Short speech & about what I expected. Obama seemed to drone on forever...not sure for how many minutes.

Yes...I heard Obama asked for the meeting as well....and once again Putin is obliging .....Putin has said all along that dialogue must be and Obama’s always declined.
BTW Merkel is supporting Putin’s plans for Syria and that of including Assad. The sticking point that so far Obama will not go with since in doing that would make deposing Assad history.
I’ve been listening to some of Putins interviews for weeks so this is was pretty much what I expected as well.
I haven’t seen anything on BIBI speaking at the UN....
