Putin is right now as of 12:08pm stating that the exported democratic revolutions like the Arab Spring was a policy of the USA that failed because democracy in some places of the world makes things worse and not better (religious differences, ethnic differences make democracy almost impossible).

He just called Obama arrogant in his thinking. He is mentioning Libya has now become a jihadi hell hole, etc.

Putin is pretty much destroying Obama's foreign policy - he is saying it is all Obama's fault and the thinking of his State dept. Too fast for me to type....

US opposes this because if Assad does join then deposing Assad, which the US wants to do, goes down the tubes.
