Two weeks after disrupting light rail service on the Vikings’ home opener, Black Lives Matter St. Paul plans to “disrupt” another major event – the Twin Cities Marathon.
The protest, dubbed #BlackMarathon, is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Oct. 4 at Boyd Park in St. Paul. The marathon starts at 8 a.m. and is one of the ten largest marathons in the country.
Black Lives Matter St. Paul announced their plans Friday in a press release posted to their Facebook page, citing what they describe as the “beating” of 15-year-old Tyree Tucker by a Saint Paul police officer as motivation for the protest. The alleged police misconduct happened Sept. 20, the same day as the #BlackRail protest held by BLM’s St. Paul chapter.
The group said Tucker was arrested at a church picnic at Ryan Park. A YouTube video claiming to be of the incident shows multiple people telling a police officer to get off of a young man. The police officer tells the man to put his hands behind his back multiple times. Those at the scene pointed out to the officer that the man could not do so due to the police officer "leaning" on the man.
BLM claims the case is similar to that of Marcus Abrams, a 17-year-old with autism who was arrested by Metro Transit police in August.
The St. Paul chapter of the NAACP announced Thursday they would be investigating the incident.
They will kill these clowns to get to the finish line in first place.

The LEO’s are going to be on edge just because it’s a large public venue, like Boston.

Black Lives Matter is a racist terrorist group that promotes the murder of innocent white people and also murders innocent white people.
I was in Minneapolis years ago; not many Vikings left there (at least where I was). I’d imagine they did the same thing as the Dutch & English did here in NJ - buy homes away from cities, inaccessible via mass transit. Those people have never seen one of these “disruptions”; each one pushes more “people that matter” away from urban areas.
IOW...authorities were taking security *far* more seriously than they had in earlier years (I've lived here for years).
If security is taken as seriously in the Twin Cities one would think that authorities wouldn't tolerate *any* tomfoolery by *anyone*.
It’s long past the time to hit them all with RICO and put them away for what they are:an organized crime element.
in normal times, stopping such a big event would bring down the anger of the richy riches of the town to force the cops to amaze a huge show of support and protection....
but the new reality is that the marathon organizers will be forced to pay "protection" money...
