The star quarterback on a New Jersey high school football team died after suffering an injury on the field.
Evan Murray, 17, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior, played for Warren Hills Regional High School. During a game Friday night at home against Summit he was hit by an opposing player late in the second quarter, the Daily News reported.

That’s terrible. I wonder what was the cause of death.
This was an odd story. It was all over the local news here in New Jersey yesterday. There were some reports that he wasn’t feeling right before the game, so I’m speculating that some other medical condition may have been a factor here.

Football is a rough sport and getting rougher. Part of it is due to the size of the players. These kids are huge compared to when I was in High School.
King High in Southern California has a 7’ tall 440 pound football player.
