I’ve said all along that Carson is a brave man.

He, and to my knowledge he’s the only candidate to do this, stood 2 seats from Obama and delivered a scathing speech directed at Obama’s failings.

He may be soft spoken, but he’s not a pushover.

I didn’t think Carson had it in him

Quiet and weak are not the same thing.

The disconnect between the media and the vast majority of American citizens is astonishing.

Having actually read the Quran...I’ll note this...there are only a handful of passages in the entire text (6,348 verses) that deal with law, period. So after Muhammad died...there was this flux-period. Around the year 900 (200 years after Muhammad had passed on)...there had been increasing arguments over interpretations of the Quran and law. So, the boys left in charge made their own interpretations and invented Sharia Law out of thin air. What you see today...is basically a 1,000 year old legal proceeding that fits with the period of 900 AD (one of the fifty-odd problems with a religion that cannot re-invent itself).

As for ‘rules’....always remember that the trilogy exists. A Muslim has to obey everything within the Quran, the Hadith, and Siri....along with the general rules of the Sharia Law business. All of this adds up to a ton of material and no one except scholars can ever cite or explain how each item (written 1,300 years ago) reflects upon life in today’s world. When some idiot journalist wants to tread upon any comment of the Quran....you need to raise your hand and ask if they actually read at least the Quran by itself, first page to the last page. Most will say no, and you can stop the discussion with the journalist right there on the spot.

It’s amazing how libtards just don’t understand what religion is. Somehow, they think legitimate religions are clubs with rules that can change as the years go by. So they say what’s the difference between Christianity and the muslim religion, totally ignoring the fact that Christianity welcomes people in to their thinking but does not condemn those that don’t. And certainly don’t want to kill those who don’t.

So the ignorant RIM ignore the horrors of the muslims, and instead concentrate their attack on Judeo-Christianity.

Carson is leading in this discussion about Islam by asking a question, rather than trying to be PC. His question demands an answer. Is there any text in the Koran that runs counter the sharia law?

By turning the subject back to actual Islamic laws, Carson manages to put the media questioner on the spot. Either answer his question honestly or stop their questions on the subject.

I have no problem admitting if I was wrong about Carson possibly being a pushover. The fact that he’s not backing away from this is proof this man DOES INDEED have the stones to take on these socialists.

For the record, I will vote for Carson should he win the GOP primary.

Trump...Cruz...Carson!

Carson’s panache precedes Trump’s candidacy. Remember Ben’s “in your face” speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, throwing down against Obamacare? Trump has nothing to do with this.

Good question. Anybody?
____
There are quite possibly some off-shoots of islam that don't hold to sharia, but they would be considered heretical to any orthodox muslim.

That's correct, RR, and denying Sharia seems to be one of the causes of the bloody conflict between the branches of Islam.

OTH, some broadly claim, "Since the Sharia originated with Allah, Muslims consider it sacred."

So we are faced with the problem of those claiming to be practicing Muslims who also dishonestly claim they deny the Sharia because they realize it is inconsistent with the Constitution.

How do we distinguish when the Quran permits such dishonesty in dealings with infidels? And, if we can, do we have the political ability or will to enforce the point?

WARNING: F BOMBS and some profanity in this otherwise common sense rant.
Two issues with Gavin:
It’s NOT a “religion” and, as I and many others have pointed out concerning those who call themselves “muslims” and follow ALL OF THEIR KORANIC COMMANDS, it’s ALL RADICAL.
And how DOES the koran COMMAND muslims to deal with the “kafir” (non-believers)? Only 3 ways: FORCED conversion of kafirs to islam OR if the kafir has temporary utility to islam, he may pay a jizya ( a heavy tax as a reminder of his inferior status) and, when that utility ends, the kafir may THEN be killed AND, of course, killing outright the kafir who refuses conversion.
(There IS another way: They could just — or be forced to — LEAVE IS THE HELL ALONE! But, until we have a top to bottom cleaning in D.C. and do a 180, that’s not going to happen!)
Since the doctrines of “political correctness/tolerance/diversity” are every bit as insane as those koranic commands, many of us have been attacked by over-educated imbeciles who would certainly be among the first to fall beneath the beheading sword should islam gain dominance in the West. Sort of brings “The Suicide of The West” down to where it belongs doesn’t it? The INDIVIDUAL LEVEL!

Unless Carson is planning on basing his whole campaign on being more anti-Muslim than anyone else then he'd be wise to just clam up and move on. All anyone wants to talk to him about is Muslim presidency. Not where he stands in taxes or health care or immigration or any other issue. The more he says the longer it'll continue.

I think Ben Carson would make a terrible, terrible, president.

HOWEVER, he has my deepest respect for taking on the issue of Islam and it’s effect on our culture, and most likely our deaths.

What he is doing takes a brave, brave man.

I agree. He has no managerial experience to speak of.

That said, there is certainly a role for him to play in a new administration.

Watch for MUSLIM Congressman Keith Ellison to respond, not by answering the question, but by saying how hateful and islamophobic Dr. Carson is.

Guarantee it will happen.

He’s learning from Trump. Never apologize. Apologies just put blood in the water and let the sharks know you’re wounded and easy prey.

I don't think Carson has his answer.

What say those who proclaim Islam is a religion of peace?

Would anyone have cared if Carson would have opposed a Nazi to become POTUS?
Is there any difference between a Nazi and a ‘peaceful’ muzzie?
