In late 2010, polls showed Carly Fiorina within a point or two of beating Californias Democratic incumbent Sen. Barbara Boxer. The Republican candidate was impressing on the trail and gaining traction with voters, much like she is now as a Republican presidential contender.
And then the attack ads began.
Thirty thousand Californians lost their jobs, the narrator of an ad released in mid-September said of Fiorinas legacy as CEO of the Silicon Valley tech giant Hewlett Packard. Fiorina tripled her salary, bought a million dollar yacht, and five corporate jets.
Her poll numbers dipped and they never quite recovered. She lost the race by 10 points.

Many of us in the Bay Area (San Francisco area) still think Carly was cheated out of a win. The whole state is virtually infested with liberal Dems, and they have no qualms about widgeting (aka CHEATING) on the vote count. I recall stories of multiple wooden crates of unopened, uncounted ballots being found floating in the San Francisco Bay. Guess what? Nobody was punished or fully held accountable.
I also recall a campaign commercial from Carly’s people against Barbara Boxer that is infamously known as the Demon Sheep Ad. It is both amusing and bizarre. Look it up!
Won’t work this time. HP just announced another layoff of 30,000 and that one they can’t blame on Carly. That company has internal problems with making products that just don’t sell.
Sure will.
I have NO DOUBT that she can explain why they needed FIVE CORPORATE JETS, plus her HUGE severance.
Like I say - I’m sure there’s a GREAT REASON for her behavior, and I AM SURE that she will explain it it to us.
