A very religious non tv watching friend of mine saw Cruz talk for the first time in one of the debates. He said Cruz reminded him of an evangelist preacher. Not in a bad way but I guess he meant how polished he was with lots of rehearsed emotion.

Cruz’s worst moments are when he puts on that “intensity” thing and his voice gets hoarse. It’s phony.

Not in a bad way but I guess he meant how polished he was with lots of rehearsed emotion.The CNN debate, Cruz sounded very much like a preacher to me with his voice and delivery. Maybe being in the same room with Huckabee brought out the drawl?
