Indeed—Tie the DIMS to everything the majority of US citizens oppose.
Make the DIMS own and defend every shred of their agenda.
If a lot of second choice votes went to Ted, then I would wonder if Trump took a lot from him.
But that’s not the case. I think Cruz would be in the administration and he’s so young with another chance to run.
NOPE!!!
Cruz is there to clean out the Senate....and I for one am behind him on this...
I am a Trump supporter 100%, but I think Cruz is a great person who has had enough, the same as the American People have had enough.
Lets stand behind these men and give them our support to get OUR government back!!!
Well, the Bonehead part is done, now need to wake up another 8 to 10 senators to follow Cruz’s lead.
Mitch .... for the love of God and Country .... it's your turn now to follow Boehner's lead to resign ....
Not me. As usual Cruz is brilliant and completely correct.
well, for some reason, hes not catching on with conservative republicans
******************
Agree that he’s currently trailing in these uninformed polls of “republican and leaning Republican” registered voters— none of these polls are of likely voters.
But, as to “conservative” voters, even these polls show that Cruz is only 2nd to Trump among those who identify as Tea Party.
From an article yesterday:
“Bob Vander Plaats, head of The Family Leader, a Christian group in Iowa, said he believes Mr. Cruz has the best infrastructure of support in the Hawkeye State and said that some of the other candidates eyeing the conservative mantle are struggling to keep pace.
People still like Governor Huckabee, he said. They still like Senator Santorum. I still hear buzz about Bobby Jindal, but they are going to need some sort of game changer to put them into the upper bracket [with Mr. Cruz] and give them the fuel needed to sustain it.
Cruz is well positioned to win Iowa, esp, now that Gov. Walker is out.
I want him on the Ticket. I think Trump/Cruz would be very, very formidable. Trump is nearly 70. If he wins I truly belive it would be for one term, for a couple of reasons. One is that he'd be 74 and two is that he'd have been away from his business long enough and would want to get back to his real business. In that case Cruz would be perfectly positioned for 2020.
amen!
Here’s a roadmap.
November: Sen. Ted Cruz elected Speaker of the House.
August: Speaker Sen. Cruz nominated as Republican candidate for Vice President.
November: Trump/Cruz ticket sails to victory.
January: President Trump presides from Mara Lago while VP Speaker Cruz handles day to day management of the U.S. government.
March: Chief Justice Roberts steps down.
April: VP Speaker Cruz nominated and confirmed as Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
.
Very interesting. We shall see what happens.
“Together, we need to actually honor the commitments to the men and women who elected us.
The Crux of the Biscuit as presented by Mr Cruz is dead on!
I have no disagreemment with anything he stated!!
How can a Senator be elected Speaker of the House?
Anybody can be. Sarah Palin even.
Mainly his past record of kowtowing to much of the leftist party line and financially supporting their candidates.
I realize he is in New York and some of this might be necessary to do business, but he's gone above and beyond. Like Mitt Romney, he talks a good game but his actual record is less than stellar. As I said, he isn't the best we've got, but he could be the best we deserve at this point.
I believe Cruz beat Trump 2 to 1 in an informal FreeRepublic poll several weeks ago.
FreeRepublic is certainly representative of the Tea Party.
I am not a Constitutional scholar, but have learned from others here that anybody can be elected Speaker. You don’t have to be a Member of Congress. As to whether Ted could be both a Senator and Speaker at once, I don’t see anything that excludes it.
And the Armies of Israel was taunted by Goliath day and night even defying the God of Israel until King David came on the scene.
Unless they are not a true blue conservative ?
Telling us that we need a candidate that can appeal to the mushy middle.
That issues like abortion and gay marriage do not matter.
