This is a high-stakes turf war between the Chicago crime syndicate and the Arkansas machine. Right now Chi has the upper hand.
The Clintons have no desire to go quietly, but they may have no choice if they want to continue breathing. Hillary most certainly has the goods on Buckwheat, but she may not be able to use that leverage. The Chicago mob has exactly what they want in the White Hut right now, and they are not about to give that up without major blood in the streets.
Hillary has few choices, none of them good. She can try to fight it out, a fight she will undoubtedly lose, or she can find some way to bow out gracefully without losing too much face. Her best option with Obama is to cut a deal whereby she will take a fall and forget everything she has that would bring him down. In return she gets a pardon and doesn’t do any jail time. Slick isn’t investigated, so he would be completely off the hook. If they can’t find a way for Buckwheat to have a third term, Slow Joe will become Jarrett’s new puppet. All will slow down and the whole thing will be quickly be forgotten by the slow-minded Democrat voters.
