Well, two thoughts, first, they have had a presence there since at least 1971. Second, if it is not Assad and his Russian ally, it WILL be the jihadis.
Which of those two should get Syria? Or do you see someone else who should have it? I see no one else in line.
I guess in my dream world, ISIS and Assad killed one another until the last man standing, which would be Assad.
Then Bibi could put a JDAM up his hiney and create Greater Israel.
But I’m a dreamer.
