We all liked the Rubio who bucked the party elites who supported Crist. Clearly he disappointed us when he became cozy with beltway GOP and put his name on COMPREHENSIVE immigration reform.
I see some of the old Rubio coming back, but he has a trust problem as evidence by your comment!!!
He reminds me of a real life Pete Campbell
I will not pretend that I do not think that a seriously wrong emphasis. Obviously, America would degenerate into chaos, if a large number put a mistaken loyalty to their diverse origins ahead of their duty to the continuity of America, her culture, etc..
Yet recognizing Rubio's obvious talents, and strength as a champion of our economic system, I urged that a candid approach, rather than just blanket rejection, be applied, in dealing with the aberration in Rubio's position; calling for frank discussion with Rubio in the December, 2012 feature at my Conservative Intelligence Center (Whither American Conservatism.) I still feel that we should reach out to Rubio, making it clear that there is no way we can accept his stand on immigration--if it is still his stand--but explaining why in a firm but courteous manner.
