I also believe there is some kind of meeting of the minds between Trump and Cruz. I think each benefits the other, really. Trump’s biggest value is in snuffing out the also-rans AND to do everything in his power to make sure that Jeb Bush does not get the nomination.
In this regard, Trump has performed the most valuable service of reinvigorating the debate about illegals and whatever form of amnesty/citizenship the other also-rans are talking about. In essence, it’s okay now to say the word illegal when speaking on the campaign trail.
I am a Cruz supporter, first and foremost - always have been, and my opinion is that if Cruz is okay with Trump running, then I am too. Until such time as that changes, then I’ll reevaluate.
There is one thing that bugs the snot out of me when Cruz speaks and it has to do with delivery, not the message. He raises his eyebrows in a big frown and appears to be pleading instead of commanding the stage. Almost like ‘honest honey, that picture is not me with that stripper!’
He needs a speech coach concerning his physical presence at the lectern. His ‘Jobs’ technique of walking around should have limits also. I just cannot imaging Palin doing that at the Republican convention when she gave one of the most outstanding speeches I have ever heard.
Trump is for Trump. He says what he knows will get you to vote for him.
I think there’s a ‘rump’ of intellectual and religious conservatives who support Ted Cruz, but he needs to reach out beyond that base with a powerful Trump like performance.
Yeah, none of the do that. /sarc
IF God is for him......Donald Trump.. ( & in my heart I believe He is)
....then who can stand against him
Disrespectfully referring the the candidates by their first name is irritating.
What is the anonymous writer trying to infer by doing so?
Trump said Obama is waging a ‘war on Christians’.
A great generality with no specifics and plenty of room for people to interpret it in their heads different ways.
Some might say Obama ‘supports Muslim terrorists who murder Christians’ others say Obama ‘supports the gay agenda’ and so on.
A generality like that gets a lot of different people to think Trump is on their side.
Maybe I’d like to be in the room talking to someone on a first name basis.
That post makes no sense.
Obama is waging a war on Christians. What more can be said?
You have a point there. Cruz’s primary support comes from intellectual conservatives and some religious conservatives.
He needs to branch out to the “Reagan Democrats” that Trump has been hooking onto.
Otherwise his support will not get beyond single digits.
What happens when Trump does not implode, which is most likely. Cruz will be still standing around, like waiting for the blind date that never shows up. Almost fitting end to his lackluster campaign. Again, he has zero traction or recognition outside core supporters and many, like me, an early supporter, moved over to Trump.
“and would be interested in your opinion. “
I found it difficult to watch because Trump was lampooning himself, which is fine, but I didn’t like it. When he says, In effect, “I’ll make jobs happen, they just will,” I was truly annoyed.
I’m probably a tough audience. I haven’t made it to the end of a movie or TV show (on the internet) in decades. The author has the actors do or say something so stupid I can’t watch further. I recall a buddy cop movie where the two playfully point their guns at each other. I couldn’t turn it off fast enough. Another is when, in a tense situation the main character says, “just trust me,” but he hasn’t yet earned that trust. (Click.)
When Trump says jobs will just happen, I had to sit on my hands to stop from turning it off. It’s the same as a character who hasn’t earned trust saying, “just trust me.”
I would agree that Obama is an anti-Christian supporter of LGBT agenda, others would see Obama as an anti-Christian Muslim.
Others would see Obama as anti-Christian on both counts.
I’m not disagreeing with Trump’s statement, I’m just saying its vague and open to different interpretations of what ‘war on Christians’ means.
Cruz is in great position
Agree.
What I'm wondering is if you're impressed with the potential of Jimmy Fallon as a late-night host.
Barely better than Walker was. Go Trump
