Must not have read all of the furious tweets from the left immediately after the interview. Trump refused to answer the "birther" question and that is all they are running with. Every news report, every channel.

I thought the entire interview was cordial and relaxed on both sides.

So did I. Colbert did nothing to embarrass Trump. That being said, the real winner is Jimmy Fallon. That "Trump interviews Trump" segment is an all-time classic. Colbert didn't come close.
