If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

I have DISH basic package and ESPN not included. Years ago ESPN was included until they got too high minded and went Premium. Then again I dont really miss them.

When I tune into my satellite receiver, the satellite people know which channel I am watching, unlike the old broadcast TV that had to rely on sampling. These providers know exactly what the subscribers are watching. Their fees are based on these data.

Since ESPN have ceased to become a Sports provider and have become a political agenda provider, their revenue has dropped. No more Sports Center, and very little sports programming in my house these days.

Yes! Offer you stuff free over the internet, and make boner drug manufacturers pay more for advertising.

We have cut it before and then retired it during football season. This week, we will cut during football season. So fed up.

I cut the cable years ago. Cable sells channel bundles that don’t make any sense. For instance, every package comes with some overpriced ESPNs, but I only want family friendly shows, movies, and cartoons. Why is there no kid shows bundle? Why no cartoon bundle? Why must I pay for and buy MTVs and ESPNs when I don’t want them? So I went to Netflix and I have tons of shows and movies to watch for about 1/10th of what I was paying cable.

For every cable and satellite subscriber, ESPN receives $6.61 per month, or nearly $80.00 per year.

It’s built into your cable bill. And due to this racket, ESPN grosses over $7.3 billion per year.

ESPN definitely would receive an amount per month for each cable or satellite subscriber, but so would a fair number of other channels, and the cable and satellite companies would get their cut.

Some monthly cable or satellite packages that include a couple of ESPN channels are as low as $29.95 to $49.95. Hard to believe that ESPN would receive $6.61 from every subscriber's monthly bill.

The demise of ESPN cannot come too soon.

They’ve turned into MSNBC and Extra! combined.

Some what misleading though because all my content still comes over a cable but for far less money.

Streaming IS the future.

Their part in the ridiculous “deflategate” crap is enough to consign them to the dustbin of broadcasting history, never mind the asinine Bruce Jenner BS.

I like the beat writer for the Patriots, Mike Reiss, who is at odds with the ESPN leadership, who is sterling. And I don’t wish ill on the rank and file, but that organization is rotten to the core.

I don’t have cable and never have, but I dislike ESPN heartily.

7 years and counting since we cut the cable (and local for that matter) We will never go back. We don’t miss the liberal propaganda, the loud commercials, the commercials...their are good books if you still feel the need to sit on your ass but there are also many productive things to be accomplished when not waiting for the regurgitated plot to resolve itself.

Well they’ve ruined watching the two sports I used to enjoy watching. Now I listen to them on radio again, like I used to in the old days.

Baseball - pitcher catcher pitcher catcher random dugout guy watching game pitcher catcher windup pitch “Whhooom” sound effect. Repeat.

Football - celebration dance replays, constantly telling me what down it is and how many yards to go.
