Neurosurgeon Ben Carson should withdraw from the presidential race for his comments that a Muslim shouldn't be president a prominent Muslim-American group said Sunday.
"I think his remarks should be repudiated by everyone on the political spectrum and that he should withdraw," Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Islamic advocacy group, told the Washington Examiner on Sunday.
Carson, who is third in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, spoke on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday and said that he wouldn't "advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation."

Pointless. Muslims taking such a pledge could practice taqqiya — applying the concept that lying to dhimmis is not lying and is fully sanctioned by sharia law.

This will be interesting to see how Carson responds. If he backs down he’s likely finished. If not the press will have to play the hand they’re holding against him early...they’ll try to paint him as a religious nut and a zealot. You can bet that the media will never side with Christianity over Islam.
Cool Calm Carson apparently carries a big stick and just told the truth. Carson did good on this. Carry on.

I have a solution for CAIR and islam in the United States.
That would be a totally meaningless gesture....their holy book allows them to lie and mislead infidels for their advantage....
CAIR needs to have it’s 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status yanked for getting involved in politics.
This is a fundamental problem with Muslim immigration. Islam is incompatible with the Constitution. Yet, the Constitution mandates that we practice freedom of religion.
Asking a Muslim immigrant to take an oath of loyalty to the United States -- which we do, in the naturalization ceremony -- is a meaningless exercise, given the practice of taqqiya.
At the same time, radical Islamism isn't going to go away. It's built into sharia law and the Koran -- it's part of the belief system. Islam has fought to impose itself upon the West for over 1300 years. Absent a "reformation", it's not going to give up.
At some point, this unending conflict will have to be resolved. Given the availability of weapons of mass destruction, that resolution will probably have to be sooner rather than later.
The bloodletting will be immense...
