Well, most people in Havana probably know the Castro regime is corrupt and communism is a failure. It's probably not all that exciting to turn out for a Pope who agrees with the Castro brothers. If the Pope actually stood against this communist regime the government wouldn't have to offer freebies to get people to line up and see him.
Strange that the Pope admonishes money as an idol yet the Vatican has a massive store of wealth. The Pope should put his money where his mouth is & try to spread his own wealth around first.
Capitalism has raised standards of living to unprecedented heights and poor out immeasurable treasure for charity.
Socialism has killed millions and left a legacy of poverty and environmental catastrophe.
But this Pope is worried about the “excesses of Capitalism.”
Psalm 109:8
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
This from the former secret police head, now whatever, Raul and his criminal brother. They both have Swiss bank accounts from their 40 year rip off of the Cuban workers and from running cocaine. What a laugh.
Murderous bastards.
Capitalism and free enterprise are the most successful systems in the recorded history of the world for pulling the masses of people out of abject poverty. (paraphrasing Milton Friedman, renowned economist)
Fifty years after the American Revolution the USA was an up and coming powerhouse because of FREE ENTERPRISE.
Fifty years after the Cuban Revolution bringing the communists to power, they still can’t make “La Revoloosion” wolrk!
Birds of a feather.
