The Media grabbed a soundbite and created a narrative around it.
On close inspection, of course, the narrative doesn’t match up with what actually did happen. The question WAS about terrorist training camps.
Recall a couple of weeks ago when Pubbie candidates were questioning Trump’s Christianity. The Media certainly did not come running to provide him support.

There is much speculation that the guy was a plant. But by whom?
He did use a tactic the Media uses frequently: In the process of asking a question, he makes editorialized comments before getting to the actual question.
Now, the Media are reacting to the guy’s editorialized comments and ignoring the actual question. And they are blaming Trump for not decrying the editorialized comments.
