Washington (CNN)Donald Trump came under fire Thursday night for his handling of a question at a town hall about when the U.S. can "get rid" of Muslims, for failing to take issue with that premise and an assertion that President Barack Obama is Muslim.
"We have a problem in this country. It's called Muslims," an unidentified man who spoke at a question-and-answer town hall event in Rochester, New Hampshire asked the mogul. "You know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American."
A seemingly bewildered Trump interrupted the man, chuckling, "We need this question. This is the first question."
"Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us," the man, wearing a "Trump" T-shirt, continued. "That's my question: When can we get rid of them?"

+The man in the audience committed two political crimes which hurt conservatives and Trump. He made accusations that he could not back up (no first hand knowledge on Obamas religion, birthplace and muslim training camps.
Secondly, he embarrassed Trump and hurt him”
First, everyone knows Obama is a Muslim in his heart whether they admit it or not.
Second, Trump will not be hurt by this as long as he stands strong. I’ve been vacillating between Trump, Carson, Cruz, and Walker. Now I am firmly in Trump’s camp. We have every right to speak out whether people like it or not. Since when can’t one third of the people say what they believe. and if they were honest, there’s at least another third that believe he is a Muslim, but are afraid to admit it openly. The other third are either lying don’t care, or have a low IQ.
There was a caller today on Hannity's radio show that was in the audience. He wasn't ready to go so far as to call it a set-up but thought it was all a bit odd. If you watch the video, the folks sitting behind Trump are looking at the guy like he's wearing a tutu. They're staring in dis-belief, smirking, some laughing.
Look I get that a question about importing a ton of potential terrorists goes hand in hand with Trumps immigration policy. But what's more likely, the most spectacularly timed gift for Trumps enemies, or a plant.
There is a very great difference between an “I believe that” opinion and a “declarative statement” that someone “is” something.
Can be the grounds for a libel suit. I know of one such case that I worked on where someone who should have known better left out a “clarifying” word or two and got sued by a hardcore leftist wacko attorney. Took years to settle.
If you want to “say what they/I believe”, go ahead, but think “smart” about what you will say. Say something unprovable and you will look like a fool.
I’ve been a writer for 45 years and never sued. I take “accuracy” very seriously.
“There is a very great difference between an I believe that opinion and a declarative statement that someone is something.”
Of course there is a difference, but this person in the audience is citing his opinion. I doubt that he is going to get sued. Is Obama going to sue him? I don’t think so. I’d love to see Obama try and sue him and someone take the guy’s case and put on a defense showing why the man thinks Obama is a Muslim. And what would be the grounds for suing? According to the media and Obama being a Muslim is great, as it is one of the greatest religions in the world.
>> I take accuracy very seriously <<
Not needed anymore. Worship of the Great Leader has replaced bourgeois values like accuracy.
