And unfortunately Free Republic has a large contingent of those type of people.
They’ll excuse or rationalize away just about anything Trump says or does - all under the guise that there’s a great GOPe conspiracy out there to deny him the nomination.

I suppose that’s no different than the Cruz supporters who think Trump is the stalking horse for him, or that Trump is going to crash and burn and pick up Trump’s voters -or the fact that Cruz is the one they are really all afraid of.
Yup, it has been sad to see. This too will pass, but for the Trumpkins it is not going to end well. Rejection of their hero Trump will be more than many can take. And when he doesn't win the nomination, Trumpkins will be about as bitter as can be and ready to run with even the silliest conspiracy theories.
