Unfortunately, they won’t be promoted. I wonder if we should have an arm our military campaign and use the revolutionary war as an example?

My dad enlisted in January 1942, USAAF.
Different era, different war, different American people...greatest generation.
There will come a day when military weapons will be fitted with an “electronic authorization” function that will keep the weapon from being fired until a license to shoot is granted (after having gone up the chain of command)......Already here. A Gulf War sniper I met told me his scope was fitted with a camera that went ‘live’ to his central command. He would radio in to them when he had located a target. He was to get a YES/ No by someone watching a screen. By the time he received a decision, the targets were gone. Luckily, he said, it was an experiment to see if these protocols could work.
Astounding.
