A group of neutral observers almost unanimously agreed Thursday night that Donald Trump fared poorly in the second Republican presidential debate. The big winners in the eleven-candidate extravaganza, most felt, were Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie.
Most in the group also gave high marks to Marco Rubio, for his grasp of foreign policy.
Several, however, noted that Trump thus far has not been hurt in polls by bad performances and cautioned against instant analysis of the CNN-sponsored show-down at the Reagan Presidential Library.
My group included pundits, an historian, a pollster, and political consultants.

Krispi Creme? ..surges to 1.1 %$
Well, John, you and your people will not be able to influence the polls. The viewers will decide if Trump suffered much damage.
“My group included pundits, an historian, a pollster, and political consultants”
That’s why they are wrong and didn’t see what the rest of the world saw. They must not understand the Time and Drudge polls. :-)
“Neutral”. Sure.
“My group included pundits, an historian, a pollster, and political consultants.”
LOL! Ok.
The base of the GOPe right there.
It was a CNN-provoked Trumpageddon from the get-go. Why act surprised?
Who needs Candy Crowley when you can sic ten Republicans on Trump & they eagerly comply?
Reagan’s 11th Commandment is just as deceased as he is.
Chris Christie was a federal prosecutor. He’s naturally aligned with Law Enforcement. He’d create a national police force under Homeland Security. He’s a police state candidate. And he loves doughnuts.
Yet Carly gets a pass on comments about Barbara Boxer's appearance.
I don’t think he fared as well either .....
But I’m still voting for him, 100 percent. He’s the only one who seems REAL.
The others, while smart and polished for sure, just continue to come off as the politicians they are.
Fiorina made me cringe ... So bitter and angry. She’s humorless ... here we have a woman who was a huge failure, yet here we go with the idolizations of her .... A lot like loser Hillary .... Women who are failures for the most part, yet get propped up because they talk bitchy. I don’t get it.
Uh... one can’t help noticing that Time magazine - not exactly a conservative bastion - has 67% believing that Trump won.
So my question is: Would Jake Tapper?
You can write till your fingers cramp, or type or whatever it is you do, and it isn't going to change what people have made up in their minds...
You are attempting to do something that people just don't do, once someones mind is made it up it is made up....
All this is a ‘hit’ piece, we know it, you know it...and like the Washington compost, its lining for the bird cages all over America, that's how much we put in to whatever your trying to put out, which we can't understand because it's way belong our pay grade to understand it...
So tootle along, go peddle your whatever it is your peddling somewhere else, it isn't happening here....
Fiorina & Christie? You are kidding me! I didn’t watch. Why bother?
When they have the debates on the campus of Hillsdale College maybe I will tune in.
I would like to see two questions to women regarding Fiorina.
1. Would you vote for her for President?
2. Would you want her as your boss?
The so called debate, (actually a gang-up on Trump fest), was as if Tapper was a school teacher dragging around little Johnny around the classroom and brought before each little tyke to ‘say, “I am sorry, and won’t be naughty to you anymore”).
What a pile of crap that was nothing more than to boost ratings of a failing network.
Uh Huh ....
Neutral eh?
Beck’s hit against Sarah Palin and calling the Tea Party racists....represents his complete descent from relevancy.
