Expressing his admiration for a high school student's curiosity about science, President Obama has invited Ahmed Mohamed to the White House.
Ahmed Mohamed, 14, was handcuffed and taken away from his school in Irving, Texas, earlier this week after school officials grew suspicious of a digital clock he had made in a pencil case over the weekend.

Ahmed was suspended for three days for bringing the clock to school, but police said on Wednesday that no charges will be filed against him. Ahmed’s story has received a great swelling of support on social media, including from Hillary Clinton, who tweeted, “Ahmed, stay curious and keep building.”
Yeah, that was just irresponsible on the kid’s part if all it was supposed to be was some DIY project.
I was like this kid as a teen in the 90s. Making all types of gadgets, that in hindsight did look like something that could be mistaken for a bomb.
But even I wasn’t so stupid as to want to bring it to school for “show-and-tell”.

I believe Bullseye pocket watches were the preferred mechanism. Cheap, reliable, and common as dirt so they were virtually untraceable.
As Valerie Jarrett once stated, "USE THE SYSTEM AGAINST ITSELF" or something of similar message.
The school administrators in Texas made a mistake by having Ahmed Mohamed arrested thus creating all the mass media attention and that did nothing but give Obama the chance get attention for himself at the expense of Texas police officers.
It doesn’t look a darn think like a clock, no numbers, no hands.
It looks exactly what you’d expect a bomb to look like-—briefcase, some circuits, wires.
Can you imagine going from WOOKIEE to WOWEEE?
The Left has invested no small amount of time and effort to cultivate and promote a culture of hoplophobia. Now they act like they’re shocked that people predictably freaked out over something that looked like it might be part of a weapon.
But if his name was `Billy Smith’ and he had inadvertently bitten a cookie into something vaguely resembling a gun, he would have been flogged.
Send them both back to krapistan ASAP!

And the liberals defending the kid are the same ones that taught the school to be afraid of anything that looks like it might be a weapon. It's like a Calvin Ball Kabuki Theater.
The school did NOTHING wrong. They saw something. They said something. No harm doing as the DHS requests.
So that’s what all his Obamaphones are for!
