Although KBVS is not one of the US Historical Climate Network (USHCN) weather stations used to compile an official record for the alleged highest ever air temperatures used in the Climate Change controversies, it does give you some idea of how careless and sloppy the NWS/FAA data products can be. The actual air temperatures are about 30 degrees Fahrenheit lower than what the NWS/FAA data product is reporting. Pilots who are foolish enough to rely upon these records are in potential danger of crashing their aircraft as a consequence of having a wildly incorrect computation of their pressure-altitude. Fortunately, most modern aircraft measure air temperatures on their own and do not need to rely on the pressure-altitude reports coming from the malfunctioning automated weather stations.

Hey, that’s just a normal summer morning down in Texas. 82 degrees and humid.

There's a "Global Warming" temperature gauge at the Willipa Hills Creamery, where they make lovely cheese.

The Creamery has expanded. Closer and closer to the weather station. They now have a heat emitting tasting room / trailer about 30 feet from the weather station.

That is substantially different and hotter than before when the area was a clear farm.

This is where "Global Warming" data comes from.

Here's the barn before they put up the trailers for storing the cheese (emitting heat) and a tasting room. The weather station is beyond the barn slightly and on the extreme left of the photo behind the tree in the foreground.

Here is the newly installed tasting room, about 30 feet from the weather station. It has heating in the winter, and cooling (an air conditioning unit that emits heat) in the winter.

THAT's Global Warming, right there.

Not to worry - all of these inaccuracies are supposedly normalized when used to calculate climate predictions.

That temperature is at least 30 degrees higher than normal. It is either an error or some extremely unusual weather. Even if daytime highs were in the 90’s, which they aren’t, the morning low would be in the low 60’s.

They are malfunctions of the automated system. These malfunctions have been occurring off and on for many months. The NWS has been notified, but they blame the FAA for not repairing the problem. Look at the 3-Day History for KUNW Ault filed, Whidbey Naval Air Station for a comparison. You should have seen the weeks when the air temperature was stuck on 52F all day and every day for weeks.

Yeah, I have been to the Bow/Edison area when I was a kid. It is quite pleasant. My dad grew up on Whidbey Island.

Actual air temperature was about 49F.

I live south of there and further inland, but in that general part of Washington state. The temperature here should be similar.

The temperature right NOW (about 7 am) is 39 degrees (i.e., 30 to 40 degrees colder than shown by that weather data).

The data from that weather station last night is massively false, with 100% certainty.

Their answer: How can so many other thermometers be so wrong all the time?

I talked to the Skagit Port Authority and their contractor about the 104F reports. They finally stopped the reporting at 138F and began reporting N/A.
