Even if Marx himself followed Hegelian dialectics, how does this mean that Fiorina is a leftist?

Basically, Hegelian dialectics says there’s an idea, an opposing idea, and then society adopts the compromise. The compromise becomes the new idea, and then there’s an opposing idea for that, and so on.

I’ve long wished the GOP would pay attention to Hegelian dialectics because the Left sure does. Every time a Republican gives in and compromises, society moves further to the left.

Why not pull the left toward the right? Really, what am I misunderstanding here?

Exactly.

And Fiorina is a propaganda mouthpiece for the anthropocentric climate change nonsense - among other things. That is sufficient for her disqualification, if for no other reason than a myopic stupidity. Because, she is either stupid, or else an arrogant elitist - and her tenure ate HP tends to support both assertions.
