Could you expound upon your remarks? I am not much familiar with Mary Thompson, but I found her article fascinating.

I had to look up Mary Thompson; took some time to find her amongst the others. I was being catty before; apologies.

Basically her article is a criticism of Delphi which she ties to Hegel dialectics. She might as well tie them all the way back to Aristotelean dialectics.

All I know of her is the article you posted, but my point is Delphi≠Hegel. His philosophy doesn't fit the description she is criticizing. Whatever she is critiquing is some variant. Hegel definitely believed in absolutes and in God, he was a seminary graduate and lifelong non-materialist.

Dialectic is a basic form or method of debate and exploration used in philosophy; different variants have been devised and debated. Marx took a piece of it and spun off his own Marxist philosophy. Not the same as Hegel's.

thanks much for your courtesy in reply.
