The GOP frontrunner will share his views on national security and veterans issues Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., in an event billed as both a campaign rally and a fundraiser for a conservative veterans group.
But critics contend Trumps visit is not an appropriate use of the battleship, which is docked in L.A. as a nonprofit tourist attraction.
Sweet looking hull shape.
Those ships are amazing.
That is one beautiful vessel.
I remember watching “Victory at Sea” when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s.
It’s sad to look back and think that virtually every component in these big ships-from the radios to the props to the armor plate to the guns and ammo, everything was made in America. X 1000s of ships.
What do we make now? Pillows? Viagra? EBT cards? Sad.
Maybe Trump can get us out of this madness.
I love those old ships!
You know he’s going to say “The Iowa is an example of when we used to build things and when America was great.
“...however this ship represents freedom, equality and justice;...”
No, it never did represent “equality” Gabriela Lopez; it represented the DEFENSE of the freedom of the American people, and the deliverance of swift Justice to the Japanese Empire for it’s imperialistic adventures and barbarism against OUR people and others. And more than a touch of Vengeance as well, for Pearl Harbor, Bataan, Corregidor, and more.
Then again, “Gabriela Lopez of San Pedro”, if you were a real American, you’d KNOW that.
