I dunno. I—although unworthy—experienced God in His Energies in Divine Liturgy and Holy Communion this morning (as did millions of my fellow Orthodox), and I prostrated before the Cross in Matins afterwards. So I’m not about to become any sort of “atheist”, or to prostitute myself to leftist ideology or bogus programs for “renewal”.
The Psalm (which we sing in Divine Liturgy) says, “put not your trust in princes”!!!!
“Before Thy Cross we bow down in worship,
and Thy Resurrection we glorify”
That is enough for me.
