You are right. It seems if it had just been about gas stations, diners & motels and the like, that wold be fair. When it comes to cakes and haircuts, it is tyrannical foolishness.
The prohibition was applied mainly to white male controlled services. Anyone who isn’t a white male can, pretty much, bar anyone he or she wants.
