Links to both videos:
I found this first video several years ago on one of the anniversaries of September 11. Who would not want to do some part of the past in reverse...personal or historical?
WTC: 9/11 Tribute (Music Video - In Reverse)
This second video was made 11 years prior to September 11, 2001. It features the British band Depeche Mode singing atop one of the towers. Seeing the enormity of both buildings...I can feel it in my heart. It makes me feel apprehensive, but also in awe. They were amazing structures. I revisit these two videos and others each anniversary.

I didn't think about the events of 9/11 much today, to be honest, but it was still in the back of my mind to some extent. I tried to forget about it and move on. I hate to put the blame on Barry, but I feel he has played a part in this. The evil that he has done to this country, has numbed me, in a lot of ways, to feel much of anything anymore. It (the destruction that he brings) comes at us fast and furiously and there is no way to keep up. There is no way to stop it.
But these videos, and others, help bring it back to me what was lost on that day. Not just structures. Not only lives. But so many intangible things. I didn't know it then, but it was the beginning of the end of the America I had known.
lovely ....
BFL. Thanks.
The past two generations have been a clash between freedom and communism followed by the current clash between freedom and terrorist Islam. In both cases, Barry opposed freedom, so I blame him as an enemy of America. The videos draw attention to the contrast between the West that builds such structures, and our enemies whose greatest achievement is tearing down greatness. I'm proud to be an American and proud to be on the side that creates buildings that inspire justifiable awe - and embarrassed that so many would support Barry with his destructive agenda.
I'm also reminded that we are never more than one generation from total destruction of our way of life, as the Bible points out repeatedly. After David came Solomon, and then decay. After Jesus, the Temple in which he taught was destroyed in John's lifetime. After Reagan's greatness . . . can we protect freedom even for our lifetime?
Nice shot of the towers in the back. :)
