Yes, Cruz did vote for TPP.
But you must understand: he is backed by GoldmanSachs, and Heidi Cruz is an expert on NAFTA and plays a part involved in international trade while being part of CFR. Senator Cruz himself supports open borders and an increase in H1B visas.
The things you mentioned are what turned me off to Cruz as being my #1 candidate. I’m just not sure that I totally trust him, and make no mistake - wives can and do influence their husbands.
Great tag line!
[Yes, Cruz did vote for TPP.]
Absolutely wrong, and I can’t believe out of all the post on this thread people on the FreeRepublic still don’t know what the issue is here.
Cruz voted for the TPA which is fast track authority for the executive branch to negotiate treaties and have the Senate take them up in a time specified. TPA has been de-rigor for the executive going back to the Kennedy administration.
I did not support Cruz’s vote to give this administration fast track authority based on their track record and their behavior with keeping the details of the TPP under wraps. But to characterize Ted Cruz as supporting the TPP is flat out wrong and beneath the intelligence of the board.
TPP has not come to the floor yet and therefore no vote has been taken despite postings to the contrary. Cruz has already made statements in opposition to TPP.
Maybe you could answer 85 for me. I read 77 but didn’t see a reason why Cruz apparently changed his mind. Thanks SD.
“Heidi Cruz is an expert on NAFTA and plays a part involved in international trade while being part of CFR.”
Which puts her in the position to influence Ted in very, ummm, marital ways that — among past White House pairs — have involved things like a lockbox.
Do NOT ever dismiss who the First Lady would be, and what her ties and associations are. The vote for President, is not a vote for a man; it’s a vote for a couple.
No, Cruz did not vote for the TPP. Look it up.
No, Cruz is not for open borders. Look up the number of amendments he has proposed on border security.
