Mark Levin to McConnell: You will have blood on your hands for the rest of your life
The Right Scoop ^ | Sep 10, 2015 | Mark Levin

Posted on 09/11/2015 6:56:06 AM PDT by george76

Mark Levin eviscerated Mitch McConnell tonight, telling him that he’ll have blood on his hands for the rest of his life over this Iran Deal, and so would the Republican Party because of his unconstitutional leadership. Levin said McConnell is worse than Obama because at least we know who Obama is, as McConnell pretends to be someone he clearly is not.

...

Levin’s opening segment on the horrible Iran Deal that essentially passed today because of Republicans like McConnell who sold out

What was the rationale for the Corker-Cardin Bill?

Was this pure stupidity ...a trap by Obama or something else.
I think Obama had the upper hand by not calling this a treaty from day one.

Yes the Corker bill secured this win for Obama and every single senator that voted to approve the Corker bill knowingly voted to give Obama his victory. Again do NOT confuse what some of them are saying now with what they did. Their actions have consequences for all of us and we should not give any of them as pass.

No. I’m saying that the uniparty is a real thing and they played their part in the shared agenda.

I defy and challenge ANYONE, Levin included, to go by their actual actions since their stated intent to work WITH Barry pre election, and find one actual event that thwarted an Obama edict/plan/aganda.

Now thats 2/3 of govt and they stopped, overturned, prosecuted successfully what?

Anyone want to take up the challenge and with facts, prove they are not the same people/party?

Iran/Iraq/ISIS?
Abortion/Planned Parenthood?
Obamacare?
Holder/Lerner?
Bhenghazi?

Anyone? Buheler?

And THESE are the people we had, just HAD to elect no matter what because the dem is worse?

Show me worse. Show me what the GOP was NOT complicit as any dem in.

What is their motivation?

Why, business as usual of course

We have one ruling party and a second party that provides an illusion of choice but is merely token opposition

but at the end if the day, they are one big happy good Ol’ boy back slapping network and you radical tea party rubes are the greater threat to them than nuke war or terrorism ... Besides next time is Jeb’s turn which is the rules of the gentleman's club but if Hillary or Joe pull it off, meh
Stil someone they can do business with

Hundreds of millions may die if Iran drops the bomb.

Will Mitch say “OOPS!” when he’s hears the news in Hell?

I hope Kentucky is so proud of the leader they have sent to represent them....guess they had to scrape the bottom of the whiskey barrel to find this one...

What's wrong with the Corncracker State? McConnell is sitting in the same seat as John Sherman Cooper (R-Ky) who played a major role in undermining our war effort in Vietnam.

Simply put, McConnell's motivation is to 1) avoid conflict, and 2) avoid accountability.

What he did here is avoid the treaty provision of the Constitution. People wrongly say that it was Obama who set the table when he called the Iran deal an executive agreement instead of sending to Congress as a treaty. However, Congress has its own authority to "advise and consent" on treaties. The "advise" part means that Congress can decide for itself what is and isn't a treaty; the President cannot force that on Congress.

What McConnell could have done to block this is to simply declare that the Senate considers this to be a treaty and will proceed as such. Then the Senate, and only the Senate, will need to reach 2/3rds of the members present to ratify the treaty.

Article VI says that treaties are the Supreme law of the land. Supreme law cannot be imposed on the states without their consent. The Senate was the body that represented the states in Congress, so only the Senate is involved in accepting the terms of a treaty for the nation. The crime against the nation that McConnell and Corker committed is to allow a minority of states impose Supreme law on the country through a failed cloture vote, instead of letting a super-majority of states choose what will be Supreme law of the land.

Oh no no no! Freeper liberals told us all that such purity was the problem and that those so partaking hated America and loved Obama. O was personally told that many times.

So clearly this guy doesn’t know what he;s talking about. Lesser evil pragmatism is conservative and standing on principle is of the devil.

Obviously Webster hates America and loves Obama.

Well there's another reason for Kentucky to be so proud of their people....how many other whiskey barrels are they going to scrape or have scraped to find such ‘upstanding, righteous idiots’ all from the state of Kentucky????

What is their motivation?

My guess is this- everything politicians do nowadays is a means to acquire : 1. More money and 2. More power.

The two parties have learned that whoever passes the deal, passes the regulation, the law, etc... They (DC) all increase their money and power.

But they all want to be reelected as well so they give us the “show” - that they’re “fighting it out” on behalf of their constituents..

It’s like WWE wrestling - THEY know the desired outcome from the beginning but they need US to feel that somebody’s fighting on our behalf.

Meanwhile, they get more power and more wealthy with EVERYTHING they “do”. Both parties.

But then, that’s what socialist/communist politicians are all about; screw the country.. No matter how bad it gets for the little people, not only is it easier to control the little people, but the elites will ALWAYS live rich within their palace walls.

What was the rationale for the Corker-Cardin Bill?

In my view it was political cowardice.

Obama was determined to make a deal with Iran and republicans were afraid to get in a fight him to assert their constitutional authority to ratify (or not ratify) treaties.

So, in an effort to disguise their surrender and make themselves seem relevant they passed the Corker-Cardin bill that basically confirmed their agreement with Obama that the Iran treaty was not a treaty.

It allowed Obama free rein to negotiate a treaty and do an end run arounfd the US Constitution by calling it an agreement. All with the blessing of the republicans in the senate and congress.

In practical terms, the bill guaranteed Obama a victory but gave the senate and congress a way to pose and posture and make gruff statements while actually doing nothing at all to effectively oppose another Obama usurpation of their constitutional perogatives and authority.
