...Pittsburgh Steelers coaches were getting the Patriots' broadcast over their headsets during Thursday night's game. The Patriots' coach-to-coach headsets were shut off intermittently, the NFL told Tafoya.
NFL head of security Jeff Miller was shown on camera while Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth were discussing the mishap.
Blake Jones, NFL director of football operations, went down to the field to help out with the headsets.
The league described the reception problem as "intermittent" and it was believed to be resolved early in the second quarter. Because it was not a complete system failure, New England's coaches were not required to shut down their headsets during the repairs.

What position do you play?
Lucille Ball
What’s the frequency, Kenneth?
The NFL is in charge of all the headphones....if anyone cares about reality:)
Same thing happened just before the end of the last Super Bowl.
Gronk is a REAL tight end—not only a terrific, clutch performer as a primary go-to receiver, but he actually blocks like tight ends are supposed to! Power, efficiency, utility, toughness.
I’m so disgusted with the Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham-”just throw me the ball” style of modern so-called TEs who really bring dishonor to the real TEs. They’re nothing but big WRs in tight (1 of 4 palys maybe) and almost never for blocking. They couldn’t even block a Neon Deion-type if they had to (or even my mother for that matter!) And I do realize coaches who utilize guys like Gates aren’t looking for blocking skills. But they should not be called tight ends.
Fantastic receivers, yeah, but NOT TEs! Gronk is throwback tough, a real TE, and he deserves being called a TE.
A cheater who is rewarded.. Because no law applies to them. It wasn’t just the coaches because Big Ben had problems with his initially... I even mentioned it to my DH.
Yeah. That’s why the the Steelers lost, because the NFL supplied and maintained system failed.
Couldn’t have been the Steelers abysmal special teams.
Couldn’t have been the Steelers inept clock management.
Couldn’t have been the Steelers play calling by stalling their own drive early in the game by trying a trick play that didn’t trick anyone, when they should have kept doing what worked.
Couldn’t have been the Steelers mouthy defense that talked all week about putting bodies on Gronkowski, then repeatedly let him release freely without anyone touching him, if they even bothered to line anyone up on him at all.
No, couldn’t be any of that. Even their whiny, angry coach, like the STUPID and IGNORANT no-loads who focus on this as evidence of wrongdoing, buys into blaming the Patriots instead of looking at his own INEPT performance as a coach.
Maybe their coach, like everyone else who focuses on this, should pull their heads out of their backsides and open their eyes. But that would be FAR too much to ask, since it is preferable to many to be INFANTILE and whine and blame others for their own shortcomings.
Suggesting that some of these mental midgets get a reality grip is asking a bit much.
Probably how most of them run their own lives, blaming their own deficiencies on others.
I say let them stew in their stupidity and ignorance.
Actually, the Steelers were the ones listening to the Patriots. The Steelers were cheating.
Right before the game began I noticed the coaches on Pitts side pointing towards their headsets and another guy shrugging his shoulders.
Interferences occurred when the NFL had control of everything. But as we all know, mental midgets like to point at everything else except their own shortcomings or lack of knowledge.
Including the NFL, and especially in this case, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the legions of morons who can’t get their tinfoil hats on correctly.
Steeler Cheatin
In the spirit of fairness, if one of the teams had communication problems not of their own doing, both teams should have forgone headsets until the problem was corrected.
The Steelers were going to lose that game anyway, barring an exceptional effort on their part. But this is just the most recent instance of Patriots shenanigans.
So everyone please be honest (at least in the privacy of your own thoughts) and recognize that — once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times (and more!) it is enemy action.
the Patriots cheat. To paraphrase the insurance commercial “It’s what they do”
The Steelers were getting the Patriot's radio broadcast, as in the one for people to listen to on their radios, not the coach-to-coach transmissions.
