Has Trump attacked a Democrat lately, or is he's too busy attacking the Republican field?
I was told some years ago to never trust anyone who makes generalizations like you just did. It has seemed to work.
He cannot accept any criticism. He's petty, thin-skinned, and juvenile in his attacks on twitter and TV. Much about Trump that is helpful is undermined by his lack of perspective, inexperience, lack of knowledge, and nasty attitude towards other well-meaning people who have been conservatives longer than Trump has.
For Trump, conservatism is situational and for his electoral benefit only. The ones he attacks are different. These people have done much more to build the coalition of libertarians, neo-cons, paleoconservatives, fiscal conservatives, Reagan Democrats, and Christian conservatives. Reagan united conservatives of many backgrounds. Trump is about Trump. He's not seeking to only destroy GOPe. He's simply too vain to work with others. And in a policy and practical sense, he's too mercurial to maintain the promises (see his pro-Syrian refugee comments) that inspire his loyal supporters.
And that’s with money.
Lots and lots of money.
Trump is demonizing everyone not supporting him. That’s not about an existential threat. That’s about being vile and vicious out of vanity.

Imagine Trump in a debate with Hillary. He's praised her so much, donated to her, been a member of her party - what in the world will they debate?
Imagine the fun she'll have reminding the electorate how he's supported her and leftist positions like gun control, abortion and universal healthcare.

As I see things, it's primary season and Trump is calling out the RINOs, They're just as far to the left as are the DemonKKKrats. I think this is just Trump tuning up his attack machine on the low-hanging fruit of those self-identified as Republicans. Once the field of the R-branded candidates solidifies, and presuming he continues to show strength, he'll then unleash his considerable wrath and torrent of words on the Klan's party.

Trump is a classic narcissist.
It is fear that makes him insult people. It is fear that makes him call questions about his lack of knowledge unfair. You sound like you see him as messiah. Politicians will always disappoint us, as William Rusher used to say. Trump will disappoint us more than any because his cadre of True Believers haven’t come to grips with the fact that he, too, is a mere politician.
Trump lied about Walker and Wisconsin, even after it was pointed out to him that he was repeating lies [Democrat talking points].
Scott Walker is an effective conservative, that’s why Hillary and Obama continually slam him in their speeches.
I have heard him go after Hillary more than i have heard anybody else do it. He has gone after Graham a bit too which is almost as good.

I hope he does. OTOH, if he did say those things, he was wrong. Doesn’t change the fact that Fiorina is unelectable.
It’s his narcissism that reminds me of Obama. And it’s the way his supporters respond to that vanity that reminds me of Obama’s supporters. They’re blind to it. They’ve become TRUE BELIEVERS, as Eric Hoffer’s book described.
