During Fox News live coverage of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis release from prison, anchor Shepard Smith suddenly spoke over the press conference to chastise Davis and those who supported her decision to refuse to issue gay marriage licenses.
They set this up as a religious play again, he said. This is the same crowd that says, We dont want Sharia law, dont let them tell us what to do, keep their religion out of our lives and out of our government. Well, here we go again.
When this started, this lawyer said he needed an accommodation for a woman who wanted one. She said she didnt want her name on a license for gay people, Smith said. Now theyve come up with one, theyve let her out of jail But its not what they want.
This is what they want, what youre hearing now and this what theyre going to get: stirred up argument and a couple of days in the news cycle, and theyre going to be able to make these claims.
Smith argued the Supreme Court had already ruled on the issue of gay marriage, and the issued was settled. This is not unprecedented. They did it when they said black and white people couldnt marry.
In the end, he concluded, Haters are going to hate. We thought what this woman wanted was an accommodation, which theyve granted her, something that worked for everybody. But its not what they want.

Shep is the norm at Fox and not an outlier
Yeah....he couldn’t control himself today.
Tis time for the Shep to SHIP—OUT !
Is Shepard Smith a homosexual?
Homosexuals in my family were known as “confirmed bachelors” by the females in the community who know the real secret. They were embraced by society as long as they followed the rules, contribute to interior decorating and horticulture, keep your mouth shut about your sexual behavior. They were also enjoined from staying away from those young boys who were ascending into male adulthood. Those who break these rules suffered very unfortunate accidents ranging from death to accidental dismemberment.
I call this era as the age of common sense.

It makes me glad that I haven’t watched Fox in years

Is the Pope, the Bishop of Rome, a Catholic?
[[Haters are going to hate.]]
Yep- your hatred for Christians is loud and clear sheppie
It’s been a tough day for the Fagcists.
Shep acts like he has cast his tent toward Sodom.
He sets off my gaydar!
Okay, thanks!
Haven’t watched Fox News since their debate debacle. Shepard Smith should have been fired 10 years ago when he reported that there was cannbalism in the Super Dome during Katrina. That showed that Ailes didn’t care if his employees reported the truth.
I’ve always thought that Shep seems “gay”.
Didn’t Shep get in trouble for having a gay affair at Fox with a young intern?
