Unfortunately there seem to be more and more of the breed.
When we went to look at the local Humane Society and animal shelter the majority of the dogs were pit bulls and those mixed with same. I went in saying “no pits.” I didn’t care how lonely he/she looked. Even the little “angel” we eventually chose is full grown, 26 pounds of biting, which we are having trouble stopping.
As one goes further west in our state, away from Detroit and Toledo, the pit population in the shelters significantly drops.
We currently are having trouble walking the above angel in our town due to idiots allowing their pits to run around their unfenced yards untethered. Idiots think the pit is actually going to obey when it decides to attack. Some people should not have dogs.
The Pit Bull is now a status symbol among the black population and is the number one dog of choice for drug dealers...........................
