It’s Time to Discuss Donald Trump’s Running Mate
Politico ^ | 09/07/2015 | By MATT LATIMER

Posted on 09/07/2015 7:13:29 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

They still haven’t figured out Donald Trump.

GOP leaders thought they’d outfox the frontrunner-they-don’t-want by making him sign a mafia-style “loyalty” pledge to the GOP. He signed it, no problem. And why not? The Republican Party isn’t exactly the Sopranos. What are they going to do if he breaks the pledge anyway? Break his thumbs?

In return, the geniuses behind this idea have now forced every other GOP contender to vow support for Trump if he wins the nomination—along with whoever he chooses as his running mate. Which prompts us to ask a fun and fascinating question: Just who would that running mate be?

Too soon to envision a Trump ticket, you say? Well, why should that stop us? After all, America has had to endure a year or more of earnest speculation among DC pundits about a potential Bush or Clinton White House—vision quests that are literally putting voters to sleep. So what exactly would GOP nominee Trump do? We know, of course, what the ever-predictable professional political class would advise: that Trump pick someone with considerable Washington experience to balance the ticket. Maybe a solid Midwestern senator like Rob Portman. Or someone who can help solve his alleged problems with “the women,” like a Kelly Ayotte or maybe a Nikki Haley. He might, they’d suggest, pick a safe, calming choice—like some of the more establishment-approved Republicans he’d just run against. A Jeb Bush or a John Kasich or a Marco Rubio.

Morons like Latimer see everything through the prism of politics. They can’t envision anyone running for political office who doesn’t “do it the correct way.” So he’s all wrapped around the axle about a running mate. The problem is that a Trump running mate will probably be a non-politican to keep Trump’s narrative the same. So these “political hacks” have no idea what’s on Trump’s mind or where he sees the addition of a running mate to fit it his plan. Trump sees this whole process as “putting together a deal!,” not spending time trying to figure out whose a$$ he needs to kiss because he doesn’t need those who expect it.

“We need to focus like a laser on kicking Boner and Ditch for the next 9 months. “

Why? They’re not going to do anything but play with themselves and all the “laser focus” in the world isn’t going to get either of them to let go of their privates!

Alaska had a set-up where it turns out when the Democrat party goes after someone with limitless lawsuits, the target ends up needing to spend their own money to defend themselves.

The Democrats (nationally) realized after the 2008 election, that Palin was a HUGE THREAT to them.

So they went after her. Big time. Over and over, and over. Eventually she realized what was going on, and needed to step aside. I didn’t like it either, but that is the system there.

Palin needs to remain very high on people’s list of possibilities.

She’s very strong.

To be honest I can’t think of one person who would work well side by side with Trump, VERY overbearing personality but that is what the country needs right now!!! A pure and simple street fighter!!!

I think PALIN might be a good match, and this time Trump could handle the press I don’t think they would be successful destroying her!!!!

LT Col Allen West should be the only choice for who ever wins the Presidential nomination. We need a known Terrorist fighter that is Conservative. Not like the RINO colin powell.

I’d prefer a Cruz/West ticket.

Not one vote cast...

And he is already the nominee?

I think not.

Sarah Palin had the courage and the greatness of spirit, to resign her office rather than put her own career ahead of the people of Alaska and of her family through the continued turmoil and expense of ever escalating frivolous and nonsensical lawsuits that were not going to go away. Sarah Palin is not a quitter, she is a statesman and a leader. She should be honored and respected for her noble decision. Of course, had she hung on, I suspect you would be saying that she is a self-important egotist and a narcissist who does not know when to quit!

Sheriff Clarke should be FBI Director
Doctor Benjamin Carson as Surgeon General

I’d love to see that combo. Dr Carson is just not presidential material for me. Cruz/LT COL Allen West, will bring in more Military votes, that small percentage that always votes demonRAT. We need a terrorist fighter and the LT Col knows how very well, and has the guts to do it.

Turn him loose and let him do a Gen. Sherman scorched earth policy on them and their poppy fields.
