I just saw this on CNN concerning sick pay, I believe. Ashleigh Banshee was going on all about it. I wonder if I grew up in the same well to do surroundings as she did, I’d be able to afford to gush about this latest (dubious) move on Obama’s part.

While many will spend Labor Day barbecuing, the president will be celebrating by doing one of his favorite things– making a kingly decree.
The president will sign an executive order Monday ordering paid sick leave for employees of federal contractors.
Under the order, employees will receive one hour of leave for every 30 hours worked, up to seven days for a calendar year.
How much the order will end up costing federal contractors was not addressed by the White House.
The law will take effect in 2017, after Obama has left office.

Most government contractor don’t get, and probably not even under this new edict, specific sick leave like federal employees. Whereas federal employees get 4 hours per pay period for sick leave on top of there annual regular leave, contractors generally get just paid time off to use as needed, accrued up to a certain level. They also get most, but not necessarily all, federal holidays. Federal employees get the 4 hours to accumulate unlimited and which upon retirement can lengthen the time for which retirement pay is calculated.
I wonder how many of these little easter egg's Obama is leaving behind for the next President........

Thus, he doesn't have to lobby Congress, influence its committees, engage in any debate or conferences, schmooze the media...in short, with a stroke of the pen he frees himself up time-wise so he can spend the next year and a half playing golf and taking presidential trips in his government plane to see the sights and sounds of the four corners of the world.

Could this have anything to do with the (Gold King Mine spill)? Those contractors warned the EPA that what happened would happen.....the Navajo Nation is still not getting the help they need and have requested....What is Michael S. Black (dir. BIA) doing about it?!
If we have a president that will. Jeb won’t. Neither will Kasich or Rubio. That leaves Trump.

The 4 different GOV Ccontators that I’ve Worked for for Beining in 1992 all paid full-time employees 14 days of sick leave.
