DC should not be a state, nor did I say it should be. The original status of DC should not be changed, IOW, moving there should mean disenfranchisement (or, voting in one’s home district if one is an elected official), or residency should not be permitted.

Anyhow, as I said AFAIC the less voting the bastards that live there do, the better. Giving them 2 Senate seats out of some sense of “fairness” as that other poster seemed to suggest, would be madness, like giving Iran the bomb.
