Two brothers are in jail after they were accused of trying to kill their parents at the family's Georgia home, police said.
Just before 8 a.m. Saturday, a woman called 911 "stating her children were trying to kill her and her husband," the Gwinnett County Police Department said in a news release.
"She told the 911 operator that it was their two sons, one 17 and the other 22 years old, trying to kill them both. She stated that her husband was distracting them so she was able to call for help. The call eventually went silent," the police said.
Officers responded to the Snellville, Georgia, home, about 30 miles outside of Atlanta, where they found the father bleeding and seriously injured, police said.
The mother was also seriously injured, police said. Both parents were hospitalized.
"A strong odor of natural gas" was also detected in the house, police said. The sons were arrested and taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center, police said.
The brothers were identified as Cameron Ervin, 17, and Christopher Ervin, 22, the Gwinnett County Police told ABC News.
"You would never even expect that," neighbor Clint Miller said, according to ABC affiliate WSB-TV in Atlanta. "They're just an everyday normal family in the neighborhood."
Both brothers were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and arson in the first degree to endanger human life, the police told ABC News. In Georgia, 17 is considered an adult for prosecution of criminal offenses.

I hate you. I spent twenty minutes trying to find that picture, and you had already posted it. I was going to say something like “a melanin-redacted version of the perp picture.” Couldn’t find it.
Same reaction I had before I scrolled down to your post. Definite resemblance except for skin tone. Even the noses are surprisingly similar.
If I were a parent of these two I would use the opportunity
of their incarceration to move away and change my name.
I just love that picture. Every time I see it I think back to when I first registered to vote. I asked my mom, who was a republican, if I should register as a republican or a democrat. She told me that I would have to make that decision myself. After pressing her further she said that if you asked most democrats why they were democrat they would say “my daddy was a democrat and my grand daddy was a democrat so I’m a democrat”. I think of that every time I see them guys. I can hear them saying it.
Neighbors in the area said they can’t believe what happened because this was a model family.
“Definitely very polite young men,” said neighbor Clinton Miller. “That’s the last thing I would have expected out of those kids. I hope they understand that their parents gave them everything they could.”

Nice home. Looks like they were bitter about enjoying a little bit of “white privilege.”
So many blacks are angry and bitter but these folks were living better than 99.999% of the people in Africa. This home looks much nicer than the mud hut they would have been living in over there.
The one of the left is the third of triplets, although the other two are white. LOL
You can tell from the shape of their skulls and the placement of their ears that they have fetal alcohol syndrome. i.e. Mom drank heavily while she was pregnant with them.
